Last weekend a few of us at Core had the privilege of attending the Inc. 500 | 5000 conference and awards ceremony in Washington D.C. Core Creative was recognized as one of the top 5000 fastest growing firms in America (number 3182 to be exact).
The conference had some inspirational speakers such as author Jim Collins, online marketing trailblazer Gary Vaynerchuk and General John F. Campbell, the vice chief of staff for the US Army, to name a few. Each morning they kicked off the sessions with a workout run by fellow Inc. winner, CampGladiator which Fittest Exec Patti Schauer decided to participate in at 6 a.m. daily (I’m not a morning person, so unfortunately I missed out on all the “fun” there).
Between speaking sessions there were many sponsor companies giving away books and having fun interactive events. One of our favorites were “Picture yourself on the cover of Inc. magazine”, courtesy of Chubb business insurance (of course we had to do something “creative” with our photo – our magazine cover pretty much tells it all). We also loved the Ink booth from Chase where you were able to create your company timeline and create a video that told the audience “Whats next?” for our business. To see the timeline video we produced, you can view it here. Ward is just slightly energetic in his storytelling (what a surprise)!
The event ended with a black-tie gala and awards presentation, where they told the inspirational story of Fuhu, the fastest growing company in America – which grew an unbelievable 42,000 percent. To make the gala fun and energizing, they kicked things off with the Howard University drum line and ended things with a very talented 9-piece band.
We truly appreciate all of our employees, clients and business partners for helping contribute to Core becoming one of the fastest-growing companies in America. It was a very proud moment to hear “Core Creative” announced along with many other amazing companies that help fuel the growth of our country’s economy. What’s even more exciting is that we are still climbing the mountain – and together WE have the potential to rise-up even more!
Congrats to everyone – we were proud and honored to represent Core at this national event.
